I understood that this component was discontinued and is unfit for v3 (hence the problems I had and that cost me dearly to resolve...)
Could Joomlart folks give us some hints on what are the similar 'article comments' modules which accept migration from JA Comment?
Can we migrate them to K2 comment function?

I'm afraid that there is no built-in feature to migrate to another extension, you will need a custom tool for this. I recommend you to hire a developer to get this done for you.
