Just to add a note - with a blank file it is normally one of these
- System resources problem or glitch
- Need to update the framework
- Security extension settings blocking the saving of the template json file
- A corrupted settings file due to 3 - this might require a new template style
I'll remark this as resolved just thought I'd add some context for anybody else reading the thread
