New Field Floats to Top - Cannot Reposition on Registration Page

I just upgraded to 4.2.2 after testing on another site - I was using DT Register 4.0.9 for my sites because of previous issues with the updates.

This version seems to have resolved all the issues I could discern - but I didn't anticipate this:

I needed to create a checkbox field for an event with four options. I added the field and positioned it where I wanted it in the order on the Fields list page in Administrator.

I went to activate the field for the event, but it's appearing at the top of the list of fields - above the name fields!

I cannot figure out any way to force the checkbox field into the correct position - it's positioned correctly in the order of fields in the Fields list, but on the event it's right at the top and I can't move it.

Please advise - I've done a lot of work on the event setup and content and would hate to have to restore the backup, and have the 4.0.9 process again - the improvements you've made in the process are significant and I'm eager to provide them to my clients after all this time holding out for major bugs to be resolved.

I have not provided FTP - I would rather you did not simply edit code on one site to fix this because I have almost two dozen other sites to update. If there has to be a code fix, please provide a patch file that all your clients can use to resolve this issue if they encounter it.

ernienet just out of curiosity, are you positioning that field with all of the fields visible or are you positioning it while there is a filter set on the field list?

In the past I have had troubles repositioning fields if there has been a filter applied to the field list and since that time I have only repositioned fields when I have had the entire list showing (which for me is 400+ fields) and this seems to have solved the issues for me.

On a side note, I'm still running 4.0.5 as I've been scared to update any farther until most of these bugs have been worked out...

ernienet . Just fixed it . In 4.2.2 add feature to drag drop fields in event management too . Save event after drag and drop . This is required as to keep compatibility with old ordering .

shootfast1 Are you referring to conditional fields? I'm not familiar with "filters" in relation to fields or field lists.

Either way, it seems @gslitt91 has what I was looking for in this case - it never occurred to me that the fields could be dragged within the event setup.

gslitt91 Thank you. I just logged in an saw that the fields can be dragged from within the actual event. Excellent feature. I did not know about that enhancement.

With this, I believe DT Register 4.2.2 might be clean enough to deploy on more clients' sites.
