We find that the registration emails are not coming through sometimes, or are very delayed (over half an hour). We also had a client register and it did not appear on the records at all?

Could you clarify the detailed steps to replicate this issue? like which event, payment method, etc... We will help you out.
Order was placed yesterday 22/7 for Maintenance Planning & Scheduling on 4 Sept and customer didn't receive any confirmation email, we could also not find it in our records.
We tested it for same course and waited half an hour for the confirmation email to arrive.
Tested again today and seems to be working?

Yes seems Ok at the moment. Problem seems to be intermittent. You can close this ticket for now, I'll start a new one if problem persists.
