upgrade t3 2.7.0 to 2.7.4 messes navhelper menu

When I try to update the t3 framework plugin (2.7.0 to 2.7.4), the navhelper horizontal menu changes to vertical alignment. The nav-pills class suffix in the menu module no longer works. Have deleted it but still verticle menu.

This is all in latest version lawfirm template and latest version joomla.

The Vertical Menu is off-canvas sidebar Menu, that you can use turn off from JA Lawfirm template style options > Add ons > off-canvas sidebar > display it.
Except this, i can see the Main menu is showing on your site : http://prntscr.com/ola6cv

Sorry! May not have been clear! I currently have t3 2.7.0 so the navhelper menu is showing horizontal. When I upgraded to 2.7.4 via the JA extension manager, I lost the horizontal aspect as it went verticle. I reverted back to 2.7.0 so it is now horizontal. I use nav-pills in the menu class suffix. Why do I lose the horizontal aspect when I upgrade the t3 plugin? Is there another class menu suffix I need to use in place of nav-pills? Thank you.

This is the navhelper module position at the bottom of all pages (except home). It should be in a horozontal pill format not verticle as is shown. Attached are screenshots for frontend and backend.

Here is another website screenshot with the correct alignment. This one still has t3 2.7.0.

Hope this clarifies things.
