Module XML data not available

I am getting the following error ... Module XML data not available ... in all modules.
Main menu module has disappeared

Cannot find a reference anywhere about this alert message.

Any thoughts as to what the trigger may be?

Are you getting this error on default Joomla module as well? It can be issue in your installed Joomla if it appears for all modules, a similar topic fix is on Joomla forum https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Editing_module_shows_module_XML_data_not_available/en
But i have noticed any latest issue for this on Joomla.

If this issue is only with specific module kindly provide more details to replicate it and submit site super user and FTP information in edit fields options for staff.

Getting errors on all modules, default, custom etc.
Thanks for that link.
I searched and could only get a German version.

Looks like some deep diving required.
Why this has happened I have no idea which is confusing and gives me no rollback options.

Maybe something went wrong with your Joomla update, you may restore the working site backup and try the update on test site or local first, if issue remain same, i suggest you to open it on Joomla forum ans this issue happened on backend with all module. You will get more accurate answer on this.
