pavit No sorry, i didn't.. This website is just a sample how it should look like.. 🙂 What i mean is: How can i get this search symbol there, that opens a field for searching when i click on it...

I created a new search module with same settings of our demo site, but won't works due to your multiple customizations that overriding original css style for it, i noted all your customizations in template.css and custom.css file for other templates installed, would be better to remove such customizations you have for search module.

Hi there !

Yes we need so many customization in custom.css. Not at least cause the template with 'light' has some problems to show some content and so on without it...

But i didn't notice we made changes to template.css?

EDIT: I renamed custom.css and deleted all other templates so it isn't used... But search still doesn't work as it should.. So nothing to do with the custom.css?

I created an override in template folder for the search module and fixed the issue in that. Kindly check it now.
Its same like in the demo.

Ninja Hello pankaj. Thanks. What modification did you do? Because we have to reproduce this on our production site. BUT: The search does not work? If we put in some text and press enter, nothing happens..?

Open search module options > Select the Menu item ID on which you want to show search result.
If no menu selected it open on default home page that does not have any component section to display search result.

Ninja We created menu item search results and put it in the module options. But still nothing happens when we insert a word and press enter button....

wolfguard Hi. It is working, but there is a component show in place of mainbody. Please in menu manager add a new menu item of a type search results. This way search will redirect to it and show results.

after trying some suggestions it still didn't work. So we just decided to delete and not to use it...

As you can see from screenshot results are showed below main body so it doesn't appear useful, to avoid this create a new menu item as type search results and then from module search assign as item id this new menu item , in this way search results will appear in a dedicated page.

Hello,

I have been trying for days to get my search results page to show without modules before the results. I have created the menu item for search results. I have set the menu id to that menu item I created for search results. Yet it still does not work. On top of that I have created a template for search results (that uses no top modules) and set that to the menu item for search results. Yet it still does not work, I still have to scroll down to main content area to find the search results.

I am using the most current version of joomla (3.9.24) and current version of JA Simpli template. Can someone enlighten me as to what I can do to get this to work.
