JA Builder - Live Edit displays wrong page.

My basic two page site seems to be working with the correct content displayed.

But, whenever I try to live edit either of the pages, from the live edit links in the JS Builder Menu, different content is rendered by the JA Builder system, not the page that is displayed on the front end by Joomla.

For example clicking the edit button in the top left of this page:

Goes into editing this page:

I have just checked another of my JA Builder Sites where this:

When edited displays this:

All my sites were installed from Akeeba backups when I had to change hosting provider last month. Prior to that I believe all were working correctly.

Hi Steve,

JA Builder page doesn't work well if you backup site using Akeeba. If you want to backup / transfer JA Builder pages from one site to another, you should use the Import / Export feature of JA Builder.

You can access original site > edit a page via JA Builder > choose to export that page to a file.

Then edit page in destination file > import that file.

It wasn't through choice that I changed hosting provider - the old one did a migration to a new platform that went wrong and all I had was my Akeeba backups which I used (successfully) to setup on a new hosting provider.

What would you suggest I do to get them working again.

If there is not much customization on that page, you can consider to re-create it again.

Is this bug going to be fixed ? - I have now found posts from over a year ago complaining of this issue.

Hi,

It's workflow of backup page in JA Builder. I'm afraid that you will need to use export & import feature.

FYI: we're working on a new T4 page builder - the backup feature will be easier.
