Error message: "Invalid field: A user account already exists..."

I have the same problem as described at https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/24505-error-message-invalid-field-a-user-account-already-exists, so am posting this message to provide support staff with my login info.

The problem is that when a user attempts to register a member of a group registration in DT Register 4.2.4, the following error message is displayed: Invalid field: A user account already exists with this email account. If it is yours, please login prior to registering for this event.

How can I resolve this problem?

The provided admin account doesn't work, are you using latest version of DT Register and JA Payment Gateway plugin?

I just tested the provided admin account and was able to log in with it. Could you try logging in again?

Yes, the site uses the following versions, which are the most recent versions:

DT Register Administrator Component 4.2.4
JA Payment Gateway Site Plugin 1.1.4

it is fixed , file modified is components\com_dtregister\templates\default\views\register\default_form.php .

@gslitt91, thank you for your help. But I still see the same error message. The situation in which this occurs is:

The user is NOT logged into the site, but has a user account in the site.
The user attempts to register for an event using the email address which is associated with their account in the site.

Is this use case supported by the software?
