Using a Wordpress Theme for the first time. need help with the initial step to edit a GK Wordpress template

1) Basic wordpress tutorials for setting up theme.
2) You can always refer to documentation line given in above redirection for building replica of demo site as seen here and then, make changes accordingly or install quickstart package to get replica instantly

aman204 we are unable to make any changes in th John template...tried the Quick start way also....the changes...just do not update....
