Multi Column Blog Layout not working

I have my settings set to Category-->Blog and the columns set to 2 but I cannot get this page to display in 2 columns. it's stuck with one column only and I think it's the template doing it. Can you help me get this page to display my category blog in more than one column please? thanks

Please share a super user account to your website, we will need to have a look directly at your settings, looking at the demo settings for 2 columns are correctly working on template.
