JA Masthead chosen images + Masthead Title / Description not appearing

New site under construction, first time using this template. This issue arises when you have a navigation menu item which links to an individual article (as opposed to blog or list). The default image appears, but the Masthead Title and Masthead description - which have been specified in the JA Masthead module - do not. Nor does the chosen image appear in the background.

I did see a posted solution for the IMAGE only, at https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/24623-masthead-module-won-t-appear-with-menu-items/3. I tried that solution, and the designated image IS now appearing. However, the Masthead Title and Masthead Description still do not.

In addition, the image is extremely restricted in height and does not match the dimensions of the image.

Thank you in advance for your help. I hope that this new template is updated soon to correct these bugs.

So then (a) you are limited in the use of Masthead Title - it can ONLY be the Article title; and (b) you are unable to have a Masthead Description? Is that what you're saying?

And what about the restricted height of the image?

To reduce the height add this code in custom.css file
reduce the padding value

   padding: 120px 0;
}

The template is designed a special way for the masthead to use the Article title and image in this template.

Thanks. But as I said in my post, the problem is not that the image is too large; the problem is the opposite, the image is too small. It's much smaller than the images that appear when you use the JA Masthead module for a blog category (as opposed to the issues with a navigation link to an individual article).

Is this template going to be updated any time soon? So far, it seems like kind of a disaster.

And to my other still-outstanding question: so is there no way to enjoy the benefits of a Masthead Description when the navigation item is to an individual article?

I want to be able to show the Description that is available in the JA Masthead module - as well as the image, and the Title.

The JA Masthead module allows one to have (a) an image of one's choosing, (b) a "Masthead Title" of one's choosing, and (c) a "Masthead Description" of one's own choosing.

The JA Masthead module does NOT work for navigation items which links to a Joomla Article, as opposed to a Category Blog.

The solution that Joomlart has offered is (a) to place the desired image in the Article settings, ad (b) to use the Article Title to appear in the masthead.

No solution has been offered as to how to have a Description appear.

Again, the Title and Description placed in the JA Masthead module for that navigation menu do NOT appear. The module does not work where you have a navigation menu item that links to an individual Article.

And going back to my other still-unanswered question: if I do what you say and place the image in the Article's settings (because the JA Masthead module is NOT displaying the image that I've inserted into that module for that menu item), the image is too small. It's much smaller than the images that appear when you use the JA Masthead module for a blog category (as opposed to the issues with a navigation link to an individual article). The problem is NOT that I want to make the image that I'm using smaller/restricted: the problem that it is displaying restricted, rather than at its full height. Thanks.

The reason I asked was if you decide to remove the article title + article' full image in the masthead section, the article (on single article menu item) will use the image + description from JA Masthead module

But when changing the code like for that, all other detailed article pages will not show title + image anymore.

Could you share the URL of article page where the image doesn't show as you wish so I can help?

I agree with airgov. The module seems "unfinished" as it is now, when it is not working fully with single articles.
I would also like to have a "description" field for my single article-pages/menu items and define a custom "image as background".
maybe you can enable an option on/off to define if the module uses article images or uses only the custom data that is entered in the module options.
