Pages not working after joomla update

Dear,
When I update the joomla from 3.8.14 to 3.9.12, I have the problem the my site is not working If I use the home-university layout. The places where I use the acm module, I just get blank pages. I also has notice that in the layout tab on the template admin page is different between the 2 versions of joomla. While the home-university in the joomla 3.8.14 has 4 positions and no sidebar-1, sidebar-2. The joomla version 3.9.12 has 4 positions but also sidebar-1, sidebar-2, message and component.
Any idees?

lvanwiem Hi. Where can I see this problem? Is this the white script on homepage? Also please provide an access to joomla panel.

yes on the homepage and on the research page. If you go to www.psb.ugent.be where the production is running you see that everything is working in the 3.8 joomla version.

You should update the login you provided to us to a super user account - we cannot see settings in the correct way .

This was caused by a wrong update remove the old one and check again

pavit Thanks for your answer, I have upgraded the user to a super admin user.
I have deleted the old uber template, but the problem stays persists

pavit I have notice that If I make PSB-Home default for all pages then the homepage is working.
If I make PSB-Default default for all and assign the (psb menu ->Home and Main-menu -> home) to the PSB-home then the home is not working any more...

Hi
This issue is not from JA Uber template. Its 3rd party conflict with core Joomla.
That not allow the custom template style assignment for menu items.
If you will apply the default Joomla template to any menu item, this will also not work as Joomla only use default template style.

I found issue from System - Nooku Framework Plugin, I disabled it and site is working fine now.
You can contact the plugin provider for its compatibility with latest Joomla.
