Hello,
I want to update a homepage with the "BUILDR Backgrounder" template. I see that there are new versions in the Joomlart download area. My current buildr version is (version: 1.1.3 March 2016) . The current framework is Zengrid5 (version: v5.0.3)

Is this easy to do? Can I simply install the current packages via the backend? Will there be problems?
Were there any general difficulties with the latest BUILDR update?

The current "old" Buildr-Backgrounder" version is not modified. I have no entries in the custom.css or elsewhere

I have just updated Joomla to the latest version 3.8.8. I also see that I should update some extensions, like zentools2, JBMaps2, Zen Menu,...

Thanks for your hints
Cheers Frank

Hi Frank,

First step is to have a working backup as you will need to update a few files

You will need to update the template and the framework version as a pair - updating one without the other does not work

Regarding the zentools2 module / package

It depends a little on the configuration of the modules you've got created - you might have to compile the master css inside the module if you see any problems

So once updated I would check how the modules are displaying

Maps2 reflects changes by google to maps in regard to their api and usage changes but if you have a map published this shouldn't make any difference

Hi, Paul,
thank you very much for your hints!

I already made a backup of the site.
I'll get it this weekend.

Have another relaxed weekend
Cheers Frank

6 days later

Regarding this homepage everything seems
to have worked out wonderfully. Everything is up to date

(My other post from today regarding zentools2 has nothing to do with this post.. This was another Homepage)

Cheers
Frank
