Using Image Sliders

I;m using the latest free version of the Shape5 Vertex Template. When I try to display an image slider in the banner position, the slider only uses the right hand half of the banner area. I have tried a a couple of different slider modules and they both do the same thing so it must be a template issue. How do I modify my template to allow an image slider to use the full screen width in the banner position?

It's hard to make that block full width as it's inheriting the settings for the width of the body that you set in template: https://prnt.sc/pv6hpm
