SEF only working in menu items

Hi,
Not sure if this began after some updates or not. Anyway, I've just realized that SEF only works in the menu items. In modules, instead, links seem to show the full link, with article id, category etc.
You can check this in the whole footer section on my site.
I contact my host and they said this could be due to the template I'm using.

Hi danilolarivera

You are using a custom module where you added tabs and inside that module you added the full path url for the page to be showed in this way , joomla doesn't change what was added in a custom url but it rebuild url path when it is generated by a core joomla item as menu item or component item for example

pavit Thank you, but I'm not sure I understand. I've been using custom modules for years now, and I'm sure this has never happened before. I've always entered link using the Joomla function "insert/edit" link available in the editor. I make links to either articles, categories or even menu items, but this doesn't make a difference now: it always renders full link, SEF seems to be ignored.
And the issue occurs even in standart articles: take a look at this page for instance:

All links are non-SEF. I don't understand...

Please edit your first post as showed HERE and add to it a temp super user account to your backend , i will have a look at your settings.

I tested adding in your article year1-interdisciplinary-mathematics a custom url ( test )

Clicking on it in the respective page it points correctly to a sef url

I added your domain to the joomla SEF Plugin

Please try again because for me it is working fine.

Thanks a lot. It seems that I have to re-open and save again every single article and module and then it magically works. So, there must have been something going wrong after some updates. Not sure if this is due to the template, to Joomla updates or, more likely, to the JCE editor.

Anyway this has nothing to do with the Template ,Components url generation is managed by joomla core extensions ( Joomla SEF plugin )

Template doesn't changes or manages in any way how urls are defined.

Glad it is fixed at the end
