Good day, I am having a slight issue getting the custom module "Slideshow " to work on this site. I have not changed anything other than the images and text. It was not working upon original install either. Though the other site we have a different custom module in place, I was really hoping to be able to use this one for the parent site.

I have not changed the Advanced either, this is still default. Is there a module I might have disabled that the Slideshow is dependant upon?

It does not slide, the buttons are not recognized. I do see the owl-pagination and controls in the output, however they are not active or selectable.

I have only updated the default installed components. I have not installed any thing else on this site.

I configured your home menu item as it is configured in quickstart version ( added homepage class ) that was missing before.

Aah, I see, so that disabled the ability for it to work eh?
Only one issue.. I no longer see the menu or the top bar (where the cookie message will go).

The front page menu item should (?) only be featured articles. I will be removing the virtuemart as that is not needed for this site. (only the one we will be moving to the main site).

Also, is there a way to slow it down a bit?

Problem was in your custom.css where you added a negative z-index value (-1) to the t3-slideshow , i corrected it to 1

You can now change your home menu item type as it was before also i noted you did a lot of customizations in your custom.css file ,don't know why you added 5k lines of code to it when you have already template.css to style your website as it is in our demo site.

I added autoPlay = 7000 (7secs) in this file templates/ja_playstore/acm/slideshow/style-owl.php

I am looking at the css and the custom css, I removed the custom and refreshed cache and browser. Here I can see the top as I want, however, i notice that the owl buttons are no longer selectable.

I add the custom back in, and yes they work, but the entire top is still missing for me. Im currently going through the css now to find the difference between these two and what is buggering it up. I can fix the primary main nav by adding in the z-index: 2, but it does not work for the topbar nor the t3-header.

Currently it is the default with no custom.css inside. I did revert/upload the template files to go back to default.

Thoughts?

Pavit mentioned the z index -1 this cause the bottoms to not work

I got it working. I am not sure if it was a template cache issue or what not. However, after uninstalling and reinstalling, i had the same issues. So I took a break from that and decided to remove the virtuemart components. When I went back to test, it was working.

I did notice there is a bit of a delay and at times difficult to see new changes right away from the custom css.

I am not sure what it was, but it is working again.

sarrene The issue is still present.

Looked at your website and everything works fine now -

sarrene He had changed this in the style.css (light) line 10 so it is 1 and not -1.

I changed it in your custom.css and not on style.css

Good evening,
I am sorry for the late response, I am doing about a dozen jobs and had to go out for a business trip in between.
I still have this issue. It was not resolved in a way that actually worked.
1) The images stopped cycling through
2) The fix moved the entire panel to cover the main menu
3) The fix moved the entire panel to cover the header area
4) The fix moved the module to partially cover the bottom footer modules.

I am not sure if just changing the z-index is the route we want, however, I do need to have this done within the next week for presentation and a few meetings coming up.

I did end up removing this module from our main site test and replaced with a customized S5 module. I really do not want to replace the one for the main company site if at all possible as the demo does exactly what we need it to do (visually and effect wise).

I cannot see errors you are describing above

Please share screenshots of your errors and tell us how you want them - i noted on your website that our previous customizations were removed - so it is quite hard to come to a solution to this if we are not aware of what was done from you .

I removed the fixes you included due to the issues (and a few other conflicts) as described. It is back to default at the moment with custom css file as it was when I originally posted. I had to do this because the site is live and being used (and promoted currently).

So the current issue is as the original, plus one more:
1) Images do not cycle through (stays on the first slide/panel/image)
2) Control buttons on the bottom are not usable (due to the layer order)
3) Control buttons/dots on the right are not usable (due to the layer order)

I see all 6 images rotating, so is this fixed or maybe problem is connected with some specific browser or operating system. Please check and let me know more detail so I will know the enviroment to test it.

2&3. Try adding this css:

.homepage .t3-mainnav,

position: relative;
z-index: 10;
}

.homepage .t3-slideshow {
z-index: 0;
}

Thank you for the reply. I just checked this site and yes, they are now rotating! I swear they were not on any browser last night! Firefox, Safri, Opera, Chrome, IE and Edge! I have to laugh but I am not going to complain lol.

For this new fix, i will give that a try and see. I will let you know how that turns out when I have a chance.
