Getting the following error on any page of my site:
0 Function name must be a string

I'm using an older The World News 2 template, which I know you don't support. How can I update the various files in the template related to the Gavern/T3 Framework? I'm also using the GK News Show Pro module. Would this also be causing the error? I had another error, 0 Using $this when not in object context, which I correct in some of the template files located in "lib" and "lib/menu" directories. Then I got this current error. I enablec debugging but the error page isn't showing any debugging info, neither is the browser console, so I am not able to find any hints on what is happening? Joomla is 3.9.8 (I tried upgraading to 3.9.14, but still got the error, so I restored to backup). PHP is 7.0.x, (Also tried 7.1.x and 7.2.x but same error.)

The World News 2 template has not been supported by Gavick from long time ago, upgrading this template to new version will require lots of work. I recommend you to find an alternative template for news to use on your site.

saguaros Thanks but while I understand that you aren't supporting that template, the alternative is simply not possible. So, it would be helpful to be able to troubleshoot the problem and hack the template code.
How can I turnoff the custom error page which comes with the template so I can possibly view the debugging errors?

As I mentioned above, this template is no longer supported by Gavick long time ago, you should consider to change to another template.
