the configuration in this thread has caused a problem, now URL show like /properties-list/properties/article-title
whereas I want it to be /properties/article-title only... how to achieve that while still addressing the issues in above thread?

You don't need to put that 'Properties' under that 'Properties List', you can put it in the same level in menu item or put it under other menu as you wish. This relates to your configuration for menu system, not template or JA Megafilter.
Reminder
saguaros when parent item of Properties menu is changed to main menu item, then the property details page gives 404 not found error...
i have moved it back to sub menu of properties list..
but how to fix it?

You need to re-index the filter, I just moved it back to main menu, kindly check.
saguaros I did tried re index .. wonder why it didn't work then..
Maybe cache from your web browser too, try to clear cache also.
