There are some very good Joomla people here and I just want to ask a quick question. If I have an article that has no category nor is it in the menu what link to I use to reference it from another article.

What link to use if it does have a category.

I am aware of the trick where you create a menu item and make it accessible only to the super user but is there another way of exposing the article?

Any reference material on the ins and outs of joomla articles will help as well.

    You can create a hidden Menu on the site and select the Single article Menu type and choose it.
    Also, there is no article can be saved if there is no category.
    Copy the URL from Menu item alias and use it.
