Call to undefined method JLayoutFile::getDefaultIncludePaths()

I have a joomla site and I am trying to add the New Letter module of mailchimp, but when I add the module to my site, it shows me this error:

You can try to test this module with Protostar template on your site first and see how it goes. If it works well, then there is something wrong with template

In the configurationon the CMC Newsletter is the protostar Right [position -7]

You're in right direction, simply assign it to 'position-7' of Protostar template like that and switch default Joomla template to Protostar template, then check how it goes.
