JA Content Slider with no K2

Hello,
I've just installed JA Content Slider on Joomla 3.9.14.
When I want to create a new module, i have an error : Table 'xxxx.#__k2_categories' doesn't exist
Why do I have to install K2 ? I just want to use the slider in order to display articles.
