Increase/decrease maximum characters visibile in results

For the Base Field 'Full Text' to be shown in the filtering results I've added the field to the Front-end Display Elements in Page Options. But the text is cut off after about 120 characters. Is it possible to increase this maximum number to show just a little bit more?

The site link you added is in OFFline mode, can you tell me the filter plugin you are using for Joomla content or K2?
So i can check this further.

Thanks for your reply. The site is still offline, but I can send you a login if needed. I am using the filter plugin for Joomla content not K2. The view above is based on articles (base fields combined with custom fields).

I would like the full article text to be longer (i.e. "De volle maan, tragisch dien avond, was reeds vroeg, nog in den laatsten dagschemer opgerezen als een immense, bloedroze bol, vlamde")
