I am also not sure why the Masthead displays comments when the page is refreshed. See attached. But I think it is related to the general problem of the JA Masthead module settings that at not displaying.

aurelia01 The JA Masthead module is no longer displaying the images or any of the info in the module that I have prepared for the different pages.

I checked several pages but the images are showing fine, could you share the URL where I can see the issue?

aurelia01 Also would like to know if it is possible to hide the navigation on the article side now that the navigation is working on the masthead side

I updated the code but it seems that there is cache settings on your server side, pls flush the cache there first.

It's not from masthead module, it's comment counter of article, it belongs to this plugin 'Content - JA Disqus Debate Echo' on your site, if you don't want to show comment count, you can disable this plugin.

The JA masthead module is not working because the image that is showing on the menu pages are not as they are set in the JA Masthead module. The images in the module should override the Article image that is currently being displayed. That is how it was working before. Take a look at this link:

Also I have refreshed my cache and the navigation buttons still display below the article. See attached.

I have just noticed that the JA Masthead module is not working on menu items that are single articles. It works on the other menu types. I am sure that it is related to the template change that you did.

Hi, I'm working on Masthead on ja_morgan and I've the same problem:
Masthead doesn't show text in menu items set to "single article" (image is showing)
If I set menu item to "featured" text appears.

I have commented out (see below) the following in templates/ja_mono/html/com_content/article/default.php . It has brought back the JA Mashead module images on the Single Article menus but unfortunately the navigation buttons on the left no longer show. I am not sure if this is the right thing to do but it seems to have worked. If the navigation buttons on the left can still be made to show somehow, I will be very happy. But for now it is better to have JA Masthead working rather.

It seems that you comment these lines of code which render the navigation in masthead:

$masthead = JLayoutHelper::render('joomla.content.masthead', $data);
$doc->setBuffer($masthead, array('type' => 'modules', 'name' => 'masthead', 'title' => ''));
?>

in the file: templates\ja_mono\html\com_content\article\default.php

Uncomment these code will help to show the navigation.

I commented out that code because it causes the module JA Masthead not to work when the menu is a Single article as explained above. See my comments above yours.

Yes, I noticed this morning that the navigation is showing. It looks good but it needs to move down by 20px. When I do an inspect it says it is the margin in bootstrap.css. Is that the correct place to change it or can Dev fix it for me please?

Otherwise I am very happy and really appreciate all your help with this.

I have changed the 20px bottom margin I mentioned above in bootrap.css and it all seems find now.

The only remaining problem is that there are now 2 navigations showing in these single article menus. There is the one on the left that I want and looks great and is working perfectly but there is another one below the article on the same page that is no longer needed. It is possible to remove the navigations on the right please.

I have tried all all options but none seem to take away only those navigation buttons.

I added this css rule in 'custom.css' file of template to remove this navigation in content of article:

.t3-content .item-page .pager.pagenav {
    display: none;
}

I am so sorry to have to do this, but unfortunately there seems to be something wrong with the Masthead module now. If I try to add a new line line for a menu item the whole site goes down with an error message as seen in the attached. I hope it is something that can be fixed.
