Hello Saguaros,

In our demo site we are trying to get JA Megafilter working.
We have the filter working and have a list of articles that correspond with the filter we have choosen.
But the url for the article is different then we want and if we click on the the article it will go to the home page.
The format of the url is:
http://demo7.birdcageonline.nl/?view=article&id=261:christmas-polaroid-party&catid=11

and we want
http://demo7.birdcageonline.nl/uitjes/kerst-en-winteruitjes-overzicht?view=article&id=261&catid=11
Is there a way we can fix this.

Thanks in advance
Marcel Kooistra

    Hi anitabirdcage

It due to the old layout you're using on your site of JA Megafilter content plugin and relates to the menu assignment settings also.

For the layout, I just updated the layout file: /plugins/jamegafilter/content/layouts/default and change the layout settings in menu item: Uitjes filter to use the 'default' layout instead of your custom layout 'layout2'

And in Joomla, each article needs to be assigned to a menu item so it can redirect to. The article under 'Uitjes filter' menu item are not assigned to any menu item yet so when you click to open, it opens under homepage. I just create a test menu item in the main menu called 'Uitjes Article' and it's working now. You can change this menu item as you wish.

    Hi Saguaros,

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, but it was a hectic time in our office.
First we would like to thank you for your help so far.
The JA Megafilter works now, but we think it also has something to do with the Use URL Rewriting Option and Search Engine Friendly URL in Global configuration. We have now set the Search Engine Friendly URL to ON and Use URL Rewriting to off. But actually we would like to have both ON.
Can you help us achieve this?

    Thanks in advance.
    With kind regards,

It has taken us more time to get back to this issue than expected, but today we turned on the URL rewriting to ON and it seems to work correctly now.
Thank you for your help with that, but we have another question concerning the same website.

We want a horizontal filter search bar on the homepage, where the results will show horizontally. This works fine and we were able to style it very nicely with css. We also want another filter page where the search bar will be on the left side and the results will show in the right area. We need to give both filters their own styling. Is there a placeholder in the filterconfiguration where we can add a Class Suffix in order to style it seperately?

Hope to hear from you soon, because we need to put the website live very soon.
      Thanks in advance,

      With kind regards,

      Marcel Kooistra

      Hi Marcel Kooistra,

Could you share screenshot of which part you want to style?

        saguaros

Hope that the screenshots give you more clarity, otherwise please let me know.

        Best regards,

        Hi Marcel Kooistra,

If these are 2 separate pages, I think you can use Page Class in menu item, just add 2 different classes for each page and style for it.

        Regards
