Music on PHP 7.1 +

Hi GavickPro,

been using your Music Free joomla template on the site above.

Have managed to upgrade to Joomla! 3.9.14 with hardly any issues. The site has been running on PHP 5.6 . I can run it on PHP 7 without issues either.

But on PHP 7.1 gives an error:

"

Do you recommend a course of action?

This template is incredibly original and flexible. It really is unique - there's nothing out there similar to it, even when they use the same system. There's every reason for sites using this theme to want to keep it. I'm certain others would really appreciate any opportunity to keep this theme live.

Hi Joao,

The latest version of this template works fine with PHP 7, make sure that your site is up-to-date also.

Then try going to Admin panel > Global Configuration > Server tab > enable Error Reporting, on frontend, it will show error in details so you can know where the issue comes from.

as mentioned above, it works fine in PHP 7.... but not on PHP 7.1

the error says:

IN error.php line 30 it says:
$webmaster_contact_email = substr_replace($webmaster_contact, $replacement, $regs[0][1], strlen($regs[0][0]));

I tested with PHP 7.3 but can't replicate the same issue, could you share the credentials of your site (Admin + FTP account)? I will check for you.

can you please try again with the details that have been updated on the Fields. I've disabled a plugin that was maybe preventing you from logging in .

hi,

the theme being used is now the latest version for all menus

Somehow one menu (foot menu> Special) that pointed to one single article, and used all of the top columns, is now defaulting to the 3 columns (https://thesourcemag.net/index.php/special) while before was like https://thesourcemag.net/images/newsite.png

anyway, the issue with PHP 7.1+ is the priority.

Pls try to update latest version for 3.8.1 and see how it goes.

FYI: this free template has been not developer / supported anymore by former Gavick team, you should consider to switch to another template: https://www.gavick.com/joomla-templates/music-free
