JA Oslo slider's errors and article images

Trying to investigate what is wrong with my site and template installation, I found very interesting thing. You can see it now at http://oslo.aartamonov.tmweb.ru
There are 3 languages: Russian, English and French. One slideshow module for all 3 languages. If I click in English or French and then click on slider, everything is OK. But if I switch to Russian, after clicking to article header in slideshow module is still on the screen. Any suggestions??

aartamonov Same situation (doesn't work correctly) is with Ukrainian Language.

paulus1031 The site will be ok as it was created from the quickstart and is in "noindex, nofollow" mode. But I will check from my side.

So, I installed 5 languages and check template functionality. Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian - incorrect; English and French - correct. What to do??

I guess the articles ( in the slideshow) don't belong to any menu item. In Joomla, an article must belong to a menu item so it can redirect to detailed page of article when you click to open.

You can try assigning these articles (or category these articles belong to) to a menu item (you can create a new menu item or use existing one).

It will work.

saguaros But this will work (or don't work) regardless of the language. In my case I see correct behavior in French and English and incorrect in Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian. And in the Template documentation there are no such instructions. To make a slideshow, the user should create a standard module and put it into 'slideshow' position.

Normally it means the site is on a blacklist somewhere although in this case I can't find it but am adding for your information

Joomla has problems with content that doesn't have a menuid problem - if it does not find the link on system it normally loads the home page itemid 101

As saguaros said try creating a category link for the content in a menu - this menu does not need to be published as a module it just needs to exist

With the menu link you can assign modules, templates etc as well - without an itemid there will be problems with module assignment

This is a common problem and trips everybody up at some point - I remember my first question on a Joomla Bamboo forum was this one 🙂

paulus1031 This point - yes. But it is a little bit strange when I created menu point and made this hidden it is still visible (on JA_Droid template site). Anyway, I can go further 🙂
