I'm trying to do something with the Wedding/Buildr template (or any template) that should be simple, but after a couple of days of failure I thought I'd ask here, in case someone already has done this and may offer some suggestions.
All I want to do is have two images side-by-side (equal length) with text/link over the top of each image (see attached).
It seems easy, but I have not found a way to do it, especially getting the text/link over the images.
I know the wedding template gets close - it has a background image in the template's banner position, and then uses module classes for the module that contains the text (to centre the text over the background image).
There must be a way to do something similar to that.
Perhaps creating 2 modules to be published to two grid positions. Module one will have a background image and text; and module 2 has the same. I tried that but could not get the background image to be more than a thin strip behind the text, and had to add a number of spaces below the text to show the remainder of the image.
Or perhaps there is a Z2 option like 'grid'? but I don't see how to get the text over the image (but there are options for an overlay at the bottom - but that is not what I want).
Any suggestions?
