Settings lost/ Moving to another server or directory (same host)

Hi,
i posted this issue last year.

The problem is still there. Back up with Akeeba and restoring in a new directory – and the settings disappear. Colors, fonts own CSS disappears. The whole layout doesn't look like it was.

An import / export fails. You can sit in front of the PC for hours and nothing happens. (see screenshot)Browser behavior independent. Chrome, IE, Opera, Firefox - IOS or Windows 10 – it doesn't matter. Always the same. Very frustrating.

Not to mention that this method is only suitable for very small websites.

Where are the Layout settings stored?
I couldn't find anything in the database.
The data in the directories of Joomla are identical.

I'm out of patience now.
Don't ask for access to the website. I just want the answer of my question, where exactly the "Settings" are stored! It cannot be true, that i have to waste a lot of time to restore the layout.

In some posts where exactly the topic was, you wrote evasively. Don't you want to tell it?

We already mentioned in previous posts about this, with JA Page Builder, the best way to backup / move from site to another site is manually export pages from original site and import to destination site. It will not work with akeeba backup.

As I wrote earlier, the page export is not working properly. I also asked where exactly the data are stored, which are relevant for the layout. Please will you be so kind to answer that question. Thank you.

It should be stored in the 'jabuilder_pages' table in your site's database, CSS will be stored in css files in: media/jub/default/css/

if you move whole website, try to use secret key from original site also (in configuration.php file):

public $secret = 'your_site_key_here';

#117893 the page export is not working properly

You can share the credentials of your site and tell me the page which you can't export, I will try to check for you.

Many thanks for your answer. But I still don't understand this, because Akeeba Backup takes the database and the directories you describted. Is the secret key saved in these files with encryption?

You can find that key in the configuration.php file in root folder of your original site - no encryption
