T3-assets: I am trying to find which css folder is used

Hello guys,

I am trying to change some css values, for that reason I am using right click->Ispect on my browser. By clicking the item I needed to change its color it is saying that is using css-xxxxx-xxxxx.css file inside t3-assets/css folder. Although I am changing the value the color is not changed. I am figouring out that css is not the original but a copy of the real css which I need to change.

Can anyone help me to explain me how t3-assets is working and how to find the real css file?

Hi
T3 assets is a cache folder for css, Do not apply changes.
If you want to override the style, i suggest you to use custom.css file in template folder and defined your code there.
If there is no custom.css file in css folder of template, create it.

Turn off css compression from template options to see exact path of the style via inspect element.

if I set developper mode off (css compression) I managed to find and change the wanted css, but after setting developper mode on changes are disappearing. Why is that?

If you are adding the style in custom.css it will work in both modes.
If you applied changes in core css file. In dev mode site use less files not css.
