I don't understand.
When I place the main home page as your demo in the default page in the menu, the native joomla items are not displayed and the redirection page always returns to the home page.
When I set another menu item as the home page, the joomla items are displayed correctly.

What is this due to please?

I guess that when you click to open a Joomla article, it redirects to homepage, right? In Joomla, it must be assigned to a menu item so it can redirect correctly, otherwise, it will open on the same homepage. You can create a new menu item and assign that article (or category that article belongs to) to that menu item.

If it doesn't work, you can share the credentials of your site so I can check.
