Hi,
We have a site with JA megastore / virtuemart / joomla 3.9
Will this site be usable
a) with Hikashop or other e-commerce extension?
b) joomla 4
c) t4 framework?

- It's recommended to use Virtuemart over other eCommerce components as JA Megastore was made to specially support Virtuemart. You can still use other components if you want to but it might need some customization.
- Yes we plan to update templates when Joomla 4 comes out.
- JA Megastore is built with T3 framework so T4 framework doesn't work with it.

If the templates under the framewok t3 are not migrated via T4. Does this mean that you will continue to maintain the T3 framework for a long time?
I know that it is difficult but do you think that the migration of the site is easier to do towards which other shop: hikahop ...? what if it's a lot of work (or just a few changes to css)?

hdcms T3 & T4 are different frameworks. We will continue to maintain T3 & templates that are built with T3 even in future.
And you can use the template with Hikashop just fine, it just wouldn't have the custom styling like it would have for Virtuemart.
