Follow Page and Like page

Hi,
It could be more logical to introduce the difference between to be follower of a page and to like a page.
As it is now, it can be misleading and hard to understand for the users. A fast solution could be to change the "like" button in "follow" (modifing also the relative notification message and mail).

When you like a page it means you also following it from start. The page must have the like button. Follows filter is for profiles. You can follow/un follow a user profile for his activities.

All people use Facebook and on pages like and follow are separated things. Using only Like could be missunderstanding for all users.

Hi i understand you want everything similar to FB as FB is most common and popular platform.. but its not easy that developers built In a day week or month. There is more options always added but it depends on different factors. Like Jomsocial is used for community for limited/unlimited users around world depending on users needs and their server. If Jomsocial has all Like FB you may not able to use it on shared host that most users have.
At the moment there is no higher demands on the pages features. It will be considered for updates once there is more demand for same features . I will share the feedback to development team.

Hi,
A simple fast solution could be to change "Like" in "Follow". So it will be like Facebook without the "like" function and so more intuitive (considering the Like of JomSocial is the same as the Follow of Facebook).

How could be with this idea? 2 days of work to change all labels and notifications?

Sorry its not instant, if you need something urgent you can do it with help of developer as core personal custom work. If there is more demand for the same in future, it will be planned.

You can hire developer on freelancers websites. There may not dedicated Jomsocial dev as Joomlart doesn't offer custom works.
