I have a site using JA Business with JA Slideshow. It is getting dinged on Lighthouse Performance Monitor because the images in the slideshow are not served "appropriately sized" to save cellular data and improve load time. That is what they mean as responsive, although the images do appear small to a mobile user.

(1) Can JA Slideshow do this?
(2) If not, can JA ACM or some other alternative slideshow do this, serving either a separate set of smaller images, or resizing so that fewer bits are sent to the mobile device?

Thanks!

    Hi dfirsching

By default, slideshow of this template is hidden on mobile view.

If you show it on mobile, this slideshow retrieves Full Article Image of selected articles configured in JA Slideshow module, you can check these images.

    Regards

I know that is what it does. If it can't operate differently (and I figure it can't), then does JA or someone else have a slideshow module that is able to serve small images to mobile devices?

Though maybe the solution is to show an entirely different instance of the slideshow to those devices?

    Thanks!

To show JA Slideshow on mobile, you will need to customize style so it can look properly on mobile.

Or you can search for a 3rd party extensions - slideshow module in JED which can support mobile view like that.
