Discount not showing on product page or Cart

Hi,

I am trying to use discount on my site to achieve the following:

I want the original price to be struck out as per the image and the discounted price show.

I cant achieve that and got some guidance from the virtue mart forum with relevant documentaion Docs to use as a guide

I followed the guide without any success and the forum members suggested to speak to the template developers.

Below some screenshots of my settings.. I created a discount over ride of 25%. I can see that but it does not show on my product page or in the cart. If you go to the main menu and select shop and safety knive, add that to cart and you will see what is not happening

I can see the discount price , but it does not reflect on the product page or in the cart

Just want to check if anyone has an update on this please.

If the combination in the 3rd image is not the same in the store its because I am trying all options / combinations

Hi,

This just came back from the VM forum which they said to ask the template developers to see if they are overriding the prices display Does not mean anything to me :-(

Hi Eddie,

You can see how the price displays by testing it with default Joomla template like Protostar. For example, I just assigned Protostar to the 'Safety Equipment' menu item and the price looks the same: https://prnt.sc/sallhg

The image copy you sent me does not reflect the same as what is in my first image - the original price is not striked out.

How do I get that working in JA Shoe?

Hi Eddie,

I meant that in default Protostar template, I don't see that striked out price either. If it works with default Joomla template, it will work well with JA Shoe.

Hi,

The VM forum guys tested it with protostar template and it works.

So I installed Joomla standard and Virtue mart afterwards.

I configure one product the same as what I do on my test site and this is the results (cyber-plaza.co.uk/joomla):

On my test site (http://cyber-plaza.co.uk/cshark5/index.php/shop/safety-equipment) I see the following with the same VM configuration:

But I cant see the strike out.

The VM forum guys now believe that their is no issue with VM, but asked me to refer it back to Joomlart, because in Joomlart using protstar is does not work but with a native joomla Protostar and VM it works.

Now if I install Joomla, then VM and then install JA Shoe template (https://cyber-plaza.co.uk/joomla5/index.php/shop) it works.

Doing a full install using Joomlart JA Shoe it fails

Any suggestions always helpfull

If you assign it to Protostar, there is no crossed-price display there also. Could you configure to show that price in Protostar first?

Here you go:

I installed joomla default here to test protostar: https://cyber-plaza.co.uk/joomla5/

Then I added a shop menu

I installed Joomla first.

Then separately I install VM

So above you can see it works.

Then I installed JA Shoe template zip file only and assigned it to shop menu only.

This is then what I see:

So this works

Now, when I use the JA Shoe installation you did for me to build the site from and configure our store, it does not work

The all in one JA Shoe install does seem to have a glitch somewhere

NP, i noticed all the other activities your involeved with. In about 2-3 weeks time we would like to start adding more discounted items, but can wait a bit longer if needed.
