call to a member function displaymediathumb error on VM category view

Hello,
I was pleasured to work with previous version of Storefront, thus decided to come into this template once more. I joined your club. There is some problem. With Virtuemart 3.6.10 and Joomla 3.9.18, This error appears: "Call to a member function displayMediaThumb" on the fresh install, with few categories, 2 products. WHEN having checked "Enable legacy layouts", error disappears. Is Your Gavick Shopfront J!3 template yesterday downloaded really deprecated? That i need this "legacy" setting? Or there is another root cause? Whole Category view concept has changed. I would not like to give url here in public.
(I Have no modifications yet only clean install).

Are you using latest version 3.25 version of GK Storefront template?

I just tested with my local site: joomla 3.9.18 + VM 3.6.10 + GK Storefront 3.25 and the category page works normally: https://prnt.sc/s92ljc

If the issue happens with this version of template, you can share the supporting credentials of your site eg: URL, Admin + ftp account, I will check for you.

Thanks for reply.
My Storefront info section displays version number of 3.24 , not 3.25. Maybe this is the reason. It was downloaded 2-3 days ago. Is the newest 3.25 version available here?

Ok, because I checked in Style section of template, it displays "3.24" there . My version of Storefront is actually 3.25 . This comes from Template home page, not style info view (view=template&id=10039 ).
One modification made by me is that I forked Storefront style (two styles). And some custiom css changes, nothing about server side php.

1. this is a template issue, Beez or Protostar gives no errors on category view
2 Little hint: your Storefront template "doesn't like" to have empty images or/and empty products. (top 10, recent, ...) Having that settings:

to "No" eliminates our problem. Along with setting "Show categories" to "Yes".

I sent what U need. I think sth is screwed with your template. Old Gavick template works fine - shows "recent" "featured" "latest" and so on. OR lack of some module/plugin/ feature - due to sole template installation (no quickstart)?

DONT loose template/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php file, its modified a bit. (Original file works the same way, U can check it).

This is quite old template from former Gavick team, I'm afraid that at this moment, you need to enable the option legacy layout in VM configuration to make it works. I've also passed to the dev team for further improvement for this.

Isn't it put up for sale as a Joomla 3 template? Maybe You should modernize them, when earning on them? I am sure that your dev team will cover this defect soon. I PAID FOR IT - it's not one of the thousands of free templates! Regards.

Hi Saguaros,
I looked inside the Storefront code, Tragedy. It is old piece of code (in the sense of Open source development timeline) , not very much maintained, it is like Joomla 2.5 template with a delicate make-up. It will take your Team lot of time to update / rebuild it to the latest J! and current Virtuemart.
2. I installed Fatal error catcher plugin. It flooded me with tons of fatal errors. (I can paste a list from the plugin's output if needed). Not good as for a commercial template.
3. I tried to move component default.php file to template , but it is only one file - and template layout gone!
3. I'm not an offensive kind of man. Give me my money back or switch me from GK part to JA part. This template is next to useless as for now (however It was my favorite one). Next J! update will kill it completely. I can move to joomlaArt.
Please, hurry, we will start up our store soon
