slideshow height and width front page articles

nothing really working...

I want the slideshow to be set to a certain height and width. I want the feature articles to appear one after another with the read more link.

basically i would like to recreate our website using a new more responsive and modern website. Here is what we have now...

We really have a very basic needs, maybe I should be using another template or just the t4 framework alone?

any help would be appreciated

Hi spainactive

Due to the concept of this template, it uses a big slideshow on homepage, you can change the height of slideshow by using this custom css:

.acm-slideshow .item { height: 340px !important; }

For the articles on homepage, you should insert intro image + full article image: https://prnt.sc/scgjnw

and divide article text to 2 separated parts: intro text + full text by the readmore button: https://prnt.sc/scgk8y

Then go to the 'Home' menu item settings > Options tab > make sure that you enable the option to show readmore.

so that it will display like your current site.

should i be using a different template to get something similar to www.spainactive.no ?

we are not going to be putting big images like that on the site, I want the height to be 350 and the width could be a little wider... but right now they are 960 but if I narrow the width, the images are not centered.

how do I center everything between the header and footer? that should be some easy CSS somewhere.

i have divided the articles, but only one shows the read more button, i also tried to change the template show featured articles on the home page in one column... and it does not seems to work either.

can you send some screen shots on how to set that up please.

I only want one column on the whole site and I want it to be centered and have a max width of say 1000px, how can I do that?

ok, the readmore links started working. I deleted them and put them in again, and after that they started working. I had copied the information over from another joomla installation, but I guess the code was not the same.

What I really cant understand is why the text is in one column, no matter what I change the number of columns too on featured articles... I cant get this to go across the full page like when it is just an individual article.

so i have made two home page links to the same content, but in this page, the leading articles go the full width of the page, but are under the slide show

in this page i have no leading articles, and the articles are stuck to the left and in one column, but they have space between them and the slideshow... this does not make any sense...

If you don't want to show the slideshow on this page, you can hide it in menu assignment settings.

For the column issue of this featured articles page, it seems to be issue of this template, I've reported to the team for further checking.

i understand how joomla works, assigning modules to menu items, etc...

i am going to explore another template for the moment, i need more flexibility and options in the slideshows and testimonials. It seems there are other templates that offer this.
