Not able to upload images or video

Hello,

I am having issues uploading photos or changing avatar and cover images. It will begin the upload and then just hang with no success and not even time out.

I recently had to reinstall jomsocial due to an attack, but I followed the same instructions as before.

Kindly note : Your site must have JomSocial frontpage Menu item published to use the Jomsocial toolbar menu items.
Also publish the Video menu item in the toolbar.

The issue on your site is the Memory limits value is -1
Kindly set the PHP value as recommended here :

Would you kindly repair these issues? I am not able to find these setting anywhere. I mean, are you wanting me to activate modules or plugins. If you can't fix, could you please provide better instruction for me to fix this. I am not as tech savy as you guys are.

These setting are not on the Joomla its on your server php.ini
You can raise a support request to hosting provider and ask them to increase these values as recommended in the screenshot, they will do it for you.

And you are sure thats what it is? I have had it fully installed prior and all of that worked just fine without having them increase the memory.

I will call them later this morning and see if its on there end to make the changes. If this does not work, I will more than likely just remove jomsocial and go back to a regular forum. To many issues with this platform and far to complicated.

This is not something issue from Jomsocial you can see it in your Joomla panel the system information tab, the requirements doesn't match even with minimum requirements that needs to upload files.
If there is problem in Jomsocial i am happy to fix it.

Oh I have no doubt Pankaj, and I will call them in just a little while to see if they can help. I really like this platform and my users really enjoy it too. I had a website issue and was forced to reinstall it and we will see if we can get it back up and running.

One last question. Do I need to publish ALL modules that come with it for it to work properly? Where am I able to change the jomsocial home button at on the tool bar?

Module has nothing to do with uploads, upload option is in core, if your server allow the file uploads it will work normal.

Ok, here is the latest. I called my hosting support and they were really no help at all. That acted like a deer caught in headlights when talking about the php.ini file, but stated they placed on on the server. I attempted to make the proper edits needed to get the minimum requiments to run jomsocial, but the changes did not reflect.

I am really in a bind here and not sure where to take this further. I just want my users to be able to upload photos and video (this did work just fine when I first purchased jomsocial, but now does not.

support stated it may be a conflict with PHP 7, but again, joomsocial worked fine when first installed and now seems to be messed up somewhere.

I really want this to work and would really like some help to take a look at this and see if it can be repaired. I would hate to remove it, but may have to if you guys can't help. My support has no clue what to do.

In Joomla system information it will be changed if the server memory limits are changed.
you can see here : http://prntscr.com/sfpnla its -1 kindly ask hosting provider to make it as recommended value. its normal system requirements. This is something must be updated on the server as you can see the details are not valid.

I tried to re check the problem but the login menu is missing. let me know if they not able to help. I will look again i can over rule the server limits only for your site.
