Having the same issues, as https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/28389-problem-with-guru-links-in-main-menu

I tried to create a link in the main menu, leading to the "Courses category layout" of GURU light.
Unfortunately it doesn't work when you click on it -> It shows an error page "Call to undefined method guruHelper::displayPrice()".

Same when, instead of linking to the "Courses category layout", I try to link to a "Course Layout". Doesn't work ever : Call to a member function getView() on null.

There was nothing posted on a fix that we can do on our end for users using the free version.. So I have been forced to re-post the issue; as I now have the same problem... And would appreciate some assistance.
Thank you

By the way, ran de-bug and mentioned "Parsing errors in langugage files"
JROOT/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_guru.ini : error(s) in line(s) 650, 652, 653, 655, 964, 966, 972, 974

Hope this helps solve this issue.. thanks

    Hi
The template support Guru Pro version.
Kindly disable Guru Pro overrides in template
/html/com_guru/guruprograms/view1.php" in template "ja_sensei". and check.

When you mean disable, do you mean change the name of the file to something from "view.php" to "view1.php"?
    As currently, in that folder there are only two php files;

    • tabs.php
    • view.php

I have attached a text file of the view.php; as I am not quite certain what you mean by overriding the template.

    viewphp.zip
    8kB

      Hi
      /html/com_guru/guruprograms/view1.php
its view.php file that you can rename it any other name and save it.

Thanks that helped with one view; however it appears I still receive the error for "Course category layout"
      Screenshots attached for refererence...

Also, I noticed that on the Joomlart Documentation there is a menu item missing; called "Category list layout".
Is this not available on the free guru? The reason I ask, is because I figured everything within the Quickstart should be included and/or available based on the same exact settings....

Lastly, is this why the sidebar you have on the demo isn't visible?

        Hi
The free version will not work with all options, i suggest you to subscribe for Guru Pro as light version is for trial only and not support all features.
If you want to use light version it will use default core layout.
just disable the override from template html/com_guru
        rename it any other name.

Okay, that's what I figured, just wanted to be certain.... As investing in the pro version at that costs is a risk assuming it doesn't look like the demo 100%.. Is there a discount code or option to try the pro version and ensure it responds as it suppose to?

Super, I will jump on that immediately.. As that may work...
One very last question; which I tried to have answered but since i havent purchased JA Amazon S3, as of yet I am unable to ask in other discussion....

          which is:

Is this possible; that we may store all of our videos within Amazing S3 for our courses?

Assuming we have both components, of course?

As I rather the media be retained in amazon rather than youtube or vimeo...

            Hi
Sorry Guru does not have Integration with Amazon S3 component.

Ninja changed the title to Problem with Guru light links in Main Menu.
