novice questions following manual

Hello,

I am trying to get started with the simply template. Following the steps in the manual. https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-simpli

in step 1 I assigned a .png logo but this is not showing. [EDIT]... JPG logo does work. so PNG is not supported obviously.

In step 2 I have a problem selecting "Template Style" this should be "Simpli - [Landing page]" but I can only select "ja_simpli - Default"

Step 3 is not clear to me. (probably because I am a novice) I don't know where to find these modules. Should I create new modules with the indicated names and copy/paste the html code?
[EDIT]... I tried this and it worked. I created a new custom html module and pasted the html. So that is solved.

I just tested with supplied credentials and it works still for me. note that you should not include the word 'password'
string before the word password is admin name and string behind the word password is the password

If you don't mind, I have another issue. i display all articles in top1 but only one article has the background image specified in the template top1 [EDIT] changing the picture size to 50% fixed that.

I check in Extensions >> Templates >> but I see 'ja_simpli - Default' only now, you can duplicate this template style to have a new one and name it as Simpli - [Landing page]
