Error: 0 CALL TO A MEMBER FUNCTION GET() ON BOOL upon a new registration

Hello team,

I found a bug on my site while a new registration is taking place. I am taking the following error:

Error: 0 CALL TO A MEMBER FUNCTION GET() ON BOOL

This is happening if I enter an invalid or not existing email address.

How this can be fixed? Normaly what is supposing to do if the email address is wrong?

Kindly update to latest version with steps given here https://www.jomsocial.com/blog

Do not forget to take full backup of site and follow the update steps, there are many new options added and changed after 4.3 version.

Hello Pankaj,

unfortunately I cannot update JomSocial version because there are a lot of hard coded implementations. I tried to update new version on a test environment but all that code was disappeared so at the moment I cannot do the update. Is there any other way to solve my problem?

Hi,

I think so the issue coming when the email is not a valid address not a not existing email. In case that the email is not existing there is no error like in your subscription, but if the email is not valid it throws the error 0 (it is a guess)

The email is not valid i used a fake email. please give an example.
Also. update the JomSocial to latest version and do a test if there is same issue.
