I have a problem.
The News Show Pro GK5 module shows the images of the selected articles.
But the ALT tag of the image does not save it.

    No, it is not this.
    It is the 'ALT' tag that is empty. But in the image of the article, if it has the text on the label.
    It is only an internal system tag.
    And the module is configured with the image of the article, not with the introduction image as its link shows.
    The tag is to solve accessibility problems of web pages.

        Sorry, I don't have access to this page to share it. We are preparing a new one and we want to use this module.
        I didn't know if it was my problem or not. I see that the same thing happens on this page.
        It is a problem that the image that the module takes, does not use the ALT tag that the image of the article has.
        I don't know if it's possible to fix it.
        I understand that the same thing happens on any page that has this module.

            Although the page is not the same, it serves me for testing.

              Could you share the URL of page where I can see the module on frontend? it's not assigned to a position so I can't find it.

                It is the module of the initial page that contains news.
                On the initial page there is only a slider and some news with the image and the headline below.

                  The ftp account I have it more difficult

                    Did this get fixed? I have exactly this problem too. It seems first reported in 2016 which had a proposed fix, but does not seem to have been implemented.

                      johnnyc1951 Could you submit a new topic and share the credentials of your site eg: URL _ super admin account + ftp account so I can check?

                        It seems if the originals are smaller than a certain size, relative to the original, it does not even try to make thumbnails at all. This seems undocumented. Large originals do make thumbnails.

                          Am busy rewriting over-rides for nsp gk5. Will make a new post later with my suggestions.

                          As this issue has been around for 6 years and never fixed in the product, I am wondering what is the point? The posts I have have been reading dry up waiting for a response from support and then closed by support.
