It seems there is a problem with JoomlArt modules on one of my websites. When i update Joomla from 3.9.18 to 3.9.19 it removes all the modules from only JoomlArt.com. They are still listed in the DB but not in the backend.. Please advice ASAP since this is a major issue on multiple website. This is not the only one affected...

Kind regards,

Tom

    Hi,

I just installed quickstart package in my local > Component > Joomla Update and update to 3.9.19 version but all JA's modules are still showing there: https://prnt.sc/sxnair

There must be something wrong with your Joomla update process, pls try to restore the old version first and update again.

I tried multiple times. I supplied all logins and expect fast support looking into this issue.

Also the URL provides is a copy of the live website. Feel free to experiment or do whatever you feel necessary to find out what is causing this problem. There is no harm in breaking things on this url. If you need db access you have ftp. check the configuration.php for credentials to access domain.com/phpmyadmin

    Kind regards,

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

I tried to create module but it still did not show.

Do you have a backup of your site in J! 3.9.18? pls share with me via email: sales@joomlart.com , I will try to update Joomla from my end and see how it goes.

As I mentioned above, I tested with quickstart package of this template by upgrading Joomla latest version for it but all modules still display properly.

    Updated:

Something wrong from your server / hosting as I tried to take a backup of your site and restore in my local but all JA modules are listed in modules manager: https://prnt.sc/syd7nt

Thanks for investigating that. Well the webhosting is completely managed by myself. It's a VPS i setup and maintain.

What php version sql are you using on the local setup?

Also could you share a backup of your local updated copy (sql only is fine) i can overwrite files myself.
Please send it to my user accounts e-mail. Can't post private info here unfortunately otherwhise i would've wrote it down.

      Kind regards,

      Tom

I'm using mysql v 5.7, I think the problem comes from mysql version on your site, if possible, you can try to install a new version for it.

I'm on mariadb 10.4.11 Joomla should work without issues and it does on this version. Only JA modules are causing problems. i tried adding a module and that too doesn't show up. So weird. And so annoying there is no errors showing anywhere.

I just did a re-install of JA ACM module through Joomla and that made the modules appear again. That doesn't sound like a SQL version compatibility problem at all if reinstalling a module fixes the issue. Any idea's on why this would fix it? Wondering if still the install SQL fixes some missing data in the DB or if it is file related.

Adding ACM module again added a second entry in the extensions DB.

This does look like it's missing some db information after updating joomla.

Could you try with mariadb 10.2? We could not find why this happens, so you better try another mariadb.
