How limit the filter to some categories and a mobile issue

Hi, yesterday I bought and installed JA Megafilter with content plugin but it seems that it is very limited and, at least for me, not usable.

My need is very elementary: I need to use JA Megafilter only with the Joomla custom fields, limiting the filter/search only for some categories, while the component allows to select all categories, or a category with its subcategories. Is it possible to make the component a little more complete? Being able to select the desired categories and exclude others I think is a basic feature.

Also, before buying my subscription, I checked on the demo if the module had an acceptable mobile version, and I was happy to see this nice layout:

In the mobile version of my site, instead, the module does not collapse and is not sticky, even if I have selected the appropriate setting.

What should I do to get the mobile view as on the demo?

I got your point about the categories selection, we're also aware of that option but it relates to the way the categories will display on frontend. If we select different categories - from various parent categories, it's not possible to show tree structure of categories on frontend as its now.

For the filter on mobile, you can share me the credentials of your site, I will take a look.

Thanks for your answer and explanation. Unfortunately it's not clear to me if Megafilter can filter the articles of 2 Joomla categories, both in the root, or not, or if there is a way to go around this limit.

It will require change in core of component, I will forward to the team for further consideration on this feature in the new version of JA Megafilter. For now, it doesn't support this feature unfortunately.

Hi Saguaros,

Thanks for your assistance. I don't know if Megafilter has been designed to work better with HikaShop, K2 component, E-Shop, Virtuemart, JoomShopping: the support it offers for com_content is incomplete and makes it unusable.

I expected more from Joomlart and will ask for a refund for my purchase. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try it out.
