Extra fields issue after migration

Hi,

I recently migrated successfuly all K2 items to Joomla articles, but I see that the extra fields were all converted to a simple text field instead of textareas with editor, URL etc.
Is there any way to control the extra field type, add, remove or modify the imported extra fields?

Also, none of the extra fields appear in the frontend, only in the backend.

Hi zivski

After importing to com_content, a K2 extra field group will be converted to an associated content type in com_content, an associated XML file will be generated:

/plugins/system/jacontenttype/models/types/your_migrated_k2_extra_field_group_name.xml

You can edit this file and change the field type as you wish.

About the frontend display, could you share the URL of page and screenshot highlighting the place you want to show?

In the backend, all the fields are full of content. In the front, the article DIV is empty... The extra fields should appear below the image.

Also, there is an extra field in K2 of type URL. After migration the field is empty - none of the data passed.

Could you tell me in details of which fields don't show up on that test page? as I'm not familiar with your native language so I don't know which fields are.

Attached a screenshot. After migration a content type called "products" was created with textfields/areas. Everything appears fine in the backend, but none displays in the front.

It looks like your host limits access from my place as I can't access admin panel of your site now.

Could you try to switch the menu of that product page to 'Protostar' template ( a standard template of Joomla) and see whether that 'products' field displays or not?

It turns out that when importing K2 to custom field of JA Content Type, the Joomla template on your site must support JA Content Type to show its custom field.

Ok thank you. Is it possible to make my template support JA content types? I purchased this extension not knowing I can't use it without replacing the entire template...

zivski I'm afraid that you need to customize template code to support JA Content Types. If you're not familiar with code, you can hire a developer to get it done for you.

Ok. It was not written anywhere this plugin won't work with templates which are not JA templates, and I already quoted my customer (the site owner) to migrate his website from K2 to Joomla content... Then please let me know what code I need to add to my template files, or give me a full refund. Please understand I already lost over a week of work.

JA Content type plugin is only built for Joomla. its not something easy to make, as K2 is complete different component. You need to hire a dev for such custom works as its not something under support scope. As this option is not part of the component and you looking for something that does not supported by component.
