K2 content not showing on Newstream2 template

I just installed the Newstream2 template. I am using k2 and created the menus, Home and About Us under the main menu. Nothing is showing on my page. No featured article content and no menu links at all. Main menu is specified in the Netstream2 template and it is the starred template.

I am just trying to create 2 menu links, Home and About Us and simply want to create content for these menu links. Why is it not showing?

I would like the 2 menu items I have setup just like in the quick start.

Okay I figured how to get the menu items to show. But in the quick start there is some small text just under the menu nav text, where are those small text defined?

Just noticed that my 'Featured' article content is not showing on the home page. The about us page shows content but the Home page is blank? How come my home page content is not showing?

Hi,

You can add the text via the Megamenu Configuration: Backend > Extensions > Templates > Newstream2 - Default > click the 'Megamenu' button: http://prntscr.com/k446oa

Then select the menu item you want and add the text in the option 'Item Caption': http://prntscr.com/k446ec

Looking at the site - I think you found the way to enable home page content to show

For any other member reading it is via the layout tab (right at the bottom)

"Remove mainbody output from homepage"
