language switching won't work

At https://linkslandgolf.com/ I have duplicated all content, modules and menus to also be available in French.

I have created duplicate template styles for English and French but cannot get the links to change to the correct pages and menu.

If I click on the French flag (circled) I want it to bring up the French main menu which will access all of the French content.

On the French menu is an English (Canada) flag. When I click on it, I want it to open the English Main Menu and access the English content.

If I change the default menu in template manager, I can see the French menu and access the French content but cannot get back to the English content if I click on the Canadian flag.

I was able to make that happen with an S5 template which you can see here https://taxforumcanada.com/home-en but I cannot get it working with the Joomlart template

Yes, its Joomla core plugin that you have to enable if you want multilanguage site.

I have followed the instructions but do not seem to be able to get it to work. I have segregated all items to one language or the other except, I cannot change the Accueil (Home) menu item to French. I get the following error

Save failed with the following error: The Language parameter for this menu item must be set to 'All'.

At least one Default menu item must have Language set to All, even if the site is multilingual.

If I even try to change the default page to another one, I get the following error

A menu should have only one Default home.

I also cannot get the two languages to appear in the language switcher drop down.

The language switcher drop down hides the Off canvas control

Lastly, when I open a French page (like this one) by typing the URL, there is no main menu and no language switcher

I have fixed the following problems

The FR language not showing the Menu because it was not configured as in documentation for duplicate the navigation profile for each language .

I still don't see the French main menu when I click on the French flag

If you click on the English flag you get the En content and main menu. If you click on the French flag, you get the French home page but no French menu.

It relates to the navigation settings in template only, you need to assign correct menu for FR template style: https://prnt.sc/tt0mil

Can I make the French side the default when it opens or is that determined by the browser?

I have set the default language to French but it does not seem to make any difference when a user loads a page for https://nexiscpa.com

The English side comes up by default.

sorry i moved the site to the owners domain and changed the language setting but it does not make any difference. it still opens the site in english when you go to http://nexiscpa.com/

the username and password i set up for you is the same as the domain i was working on with you

you need to go to https://nexiscpa.com/administrator/?hobo to view the setting i changed

Ok, I did in a different browser and it worked. It didn't work in my original browser even though I cleared the history.
any idea?

Clear browser cache and cookies, Close the session and open browser again.
The settings are working fine, no worry.
