Way to link Grid display to an outside website?

Our website is for an AKC Dog Club. Each year we have sponsors, and we list them with a click-through link at the bottom of our website. (See www.ackcsc.org/2019national) for example. Is there a way to accomplish this with Grids or another extension or feature? I tried to do it in Grid and it would only link to the photo?

Hi Eileen,

Yes you can use the manual link type inside the zentools2 module to point to outside urls

Can you advise me what content source you want to use and how many images / items you will be using?

I ask because the order / how the images are named is important

Right now there are 10 sponsors; we are hoping for a couple more. I saw the manual link but it was just a blank box so I wasn't sure how to make sure the links would go to the correct image.

So are you looking to use a folder of images?

eileens Please use Images as a content source and change link type to "content", like on this screenshot:

Now go to Content tab, set Select link type option to "Manual links" and add manual links for your images (one url per line) - please refer to this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/k51kxg

So, how do I know they will link to the appropriate image? Do I need to number the images?

I numbered the images and this worked. Question: I would like it to show an overlay when I hover over it, with the url of the sponsor's website displayed. Is this possible?

Yes, please navigate to Options tab -> Item layout section, expand the "Image Settings" and select
Hover Effect. (please refer to the screenshot below)

With displaying text on hover you would need to chose a different layout
