Menu Items and Chat

Not sure what I have done but I cant seem to activate the menu items
I would also like the chat working as per your demo https://js-main.demo.jomsocial.com/

You need to create new Menu on site Jomsocial toolbar : http://prntscr.com/ofkhg6
And add new menu item with Jomsocial types for this
that contains inbox, event, profile etc. I checked your site, there is no JomSocial toolbar menu exist, this is reason its not showing.

There are menu items, under the COMMUNITY MENU

What about the chat?

Kindly change the menu type as jomsocial by editing the menu community from Menu > manage.
May i know what issue you are facing in chat? the message chat work by default as chat. You can turn off/on the chatbar from Jomsocial > configuration > Message.

its chatbar, first enable the chatbar from Jomsocial > configuration > Message.
Now when u send a message to a friend or member you will see his name in chatbar and can directly chat with him.

Hi I have also noticed when on my profile,(https://dev.photofactor.co.za/community/profile) and a switch between stream and about me it looses the data or does not show the about me data

message must be seen to him as well, you can send me the user login of your testing account on which its not showing, i will make a test. Please note it take 30seconds to refresh the message box for new message depends on configuration in Jomsocial.

Sorry the chatbar will show on the all pages, you can hide it using css code but the chat code will load on every page.

does it use a plugin or mod?

If you not use the chatbar plugin. You can send message via Inbox. click on the message icon to see all messages.
