T3 body color not changing

I am trying to change the body background color. I tried through custom.css, template.css and other suggestions from the internet.

But it isn't working, the background stays white. When I try to change the color via Firebug through template.css line 251 it changes in Firebug. Changing it on the server side however, has no effect.

Any suggestions for this weird problem?

jve1990 you are correct.... inspect shows https://jve-worx.be/templates/t3_blank/css/template.css line 251 which has "background-color: #e8e8e8". You need to change it there.
But looking at your site which is really small it would suggest changing the template to T4 Blank.... with that template you can better control color etc etc...... is being updated regularly (T3 is not anymore!!) and T4 blank support newer bootstrap, so if you want to update to joomla 4 over time the implementation based on T4 blank will still be current.. look at https://www.joomlart.com/t4-framework
